Compression Presses

Lawton Machinery Group builds Compression molding presses from 5 tons up to 3000 tons for molding materials such as phenolic, rubber, carbon filled epoxy, SMC, BMC and Long fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic materials.

We have standard presses or we can custom build a press to meet the needs of your application. Our philosophy is to work with you to learn as much as we can about your application and objectives and then use our many years of experience to build the press that will produce high quality parts for many years.

LMG can build compression presses anywhere from a small up-acting lab press all the way up to a high speed down acting press with servo control and demanding parallelism and deflection requirements.

We have significant experience in determining the proper press construction for a particular application. Based on the needs of your application we can build a press with round tie bars and bushings, rectangular tie bars with gib guiding or a housing type construction.

Control systems can be a simple programmable logic control, or a servo controller to achieve fast speeds and accurate pressure control throughout the full pressure range of the press or a computer controlled press with networking and data collection capability and infinite mold recipe storage capability. Lawton Machinery Group has long been the technology leader in velocity and pressure profiling of the pressing stroke to achieve better molded part results. Please see the feature section for typical features that can be incorporated on your press.
